Industry Experience

Health and Insurance

Key Challenge:
UK health and insurance organisation began a programme of work to align technology control processes across its insurance and health care businesses. It was difficult for management to consistently prioritise technology and risk investment decisions, as the businesses operated different technology and control practices.

Outcomes:
Working with client’s change and BAU teams our specialist completed initiation, by establishing a detailed business case, prioritising risk investment across the health businesses and aligned use of technology and control processes. The plan included detailed business treatment options and a recommendation that detailed measurable benefits, and resource delivery estimates. The business case was approved by the Health Executives.

Financial Services

Key Challenge:
Global bank was in the mid of a programme to transform and automate its existing technology and regulatory service, to meet business growth demands. It requested an independent assurance review to obtain insight and confidence the programme would deliver new service capability in-line with its internal regulatory timetable.

Outcomes:
Working with the delivery team, our programme specialist assured each management stage of the programme and associated product deliverable. They identified changes required to existing plans to enable critical products to meet agreed quality criteria, whilst supporting continued viability of the programme within the current activity schedule of work and the next stage plan. As a result, the programme was able to meet its regulatory timescales and achieve significant BAU resource savings.

Telecommunication

Key Challenge:
Global telecommunications firm was behind on a 12-month service change programme. Its goal was two-fold i.e. innovate IT services, maximise availability of IT resources to further support real time processing of telecommunication relationship services and networks; and achieve regulatory compliance of its service.

Outcomes:
Working with the client’s business, IT and security teams, our programme specialist recovered the programme to deliver its goals within the required timescale with no additional investment. This was achieved by bringing disparate teams and third-party contributors together to understand challenges and agree redesign of work plans. New governance controls and collaborative tools were introduced to enable consistent and effective progress reporting.

Government

Key Challenge:
Consultancy firm required assistance to deliver a complex and strategically important foreign homeland security border transformation programme. The team had no depth of change and security skill set in-house. Its lack of progress had begun to invite mixed coverage via the national press.
Outcomes:
Our specialist quickly established strong relationships with the internal programme delivery team and third-party vendors, along with their end government client. The result to successfully deliver the required outcomes in-line with local government standards and the Schengen acquis was achieved by defining new workstreams and methods of working, streamlining governance and reporting processes, and directing and managing end-to-end delivery including scope and the programme RAID.
